The beautiful Tramuntana mountains run down the west coast and is the ideal place for all cyclists, being either road or mountain cycling lovers.
In this part of the island you will find “Deia”, which together with Valldemossa and Calvia are the prettiest villages on the whole island. Deia is only a small village, but you will find that every single building is stunning and full of character, most of which are traditional stone buildings.
You have the famous “La Residencia” hotel, which is absolutely adored by the Americans. Some of the rooms even have their own private pool (who could complain?). We have never had a bad meal in Deia, and the views make it even better.
Banyalbufar is another great area, and is well known for its terraced hillsides, leading down to the sea, so as you can probably imagine the sea views here are like no other. This seaside village has been the centre of fishing for many centuries.
Esporles is known for the famous finca “La Granja”, where you can learn about rural mallorcan traditions, there is also a tour where you will see a dungeon, a chapel and their beautiful gardens with a waterfall.
